This 20L daypack solves one problem: getting a bow or rifle into the field with both hands free. It is built for hunters who glass, climb, and call before they shoot - and who do not want a weapon swinging off a shoulder sling the whole way in. For the archer it replaces a separate bow sling; for the rifle hunter it turns a long glassing walk into a hands-free carry.
The weapon carry system sits at the base of the pack. A reinforced boot cradles the rifle butt or the lower limb of a compound bow, and two adjustable straps wrap the weapon tight against the main compartment. Once seated, the weapon stays put through brush, creek crossings, and climbing. The rig fits a full-size compound bow or a scoped rifle up to roughly 34 inches, and the straps adjust without tools.
Load rides on a built-in internal frame. The frame keeps the pack rigid so weight transfers down to a padded hip belt instead of hanging off the shoulders. The back panel is suspended airflow mesh, which leaves a gap between the pack and your back so heat escapes on long uphill sections. Shoulder straps are contoured with breathable mesh, and the chest strap plus load lifters fine-tune the fit in seconds.
Hydration is standard. Inside the main compartment, a dedicated sleeve holds a water bladder; a hang strap locks it in place, and two exit ports at the top route the drinking tube out with elastic keepers. A zippered mesh pocket on the inside of the front flap keeps calls, rangefinder, and headlamp visible.
Storage splits four ways: a top pocket with a built-in organizer for quick-access items, a wide main compartment for bulk gear, a front pocket for flat items, and two stretch side pockets that hold a Nalgene or a compact spotting scope. Front compression straps pull the load tight when the pack is only half full.
The shell is 500D nylon, built to shrug off brush and rock. Hardware is YKK zippers and Duraflex buckles, with bar-tacked stress points throughout. Empty weight is 0.95 kg; dimensions are 46 x 33 x 24 cm. The olive green finish stays quiet in the field and low-profile in the truck.
